Carol Lincoln

Sarah and Carol run Fun & Games Dog Training, a fully listed Kennel Club Good Citizen training centre in west Wales offering UK Kennel Club Good Citizen Puppy Foundation, Bronze, Silver & Gold Level awards. The centre also offers introduction to training courses, workshops, trick classes & fun agility.

As our head dog trainer, Sarah is fully qualified and accredited with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and a full Canine Training Professional Member of the PPGBI for Force Free Trainers & member of Doggone Safe. Sarah is fully committed to positive reward-based training throughout the lifetime of a companion dog. She believes that magical results happen when positive behaviour is encouraged through fun and games. Sarah is a registered instructor with Dog Aid (Assistance in Disability) helping people with physical disabilities train their own companion animals.

Passionate about dogs helping humans, Sarah was a pioneer in volunteering with her own ‘reading and visiting dogs’ via R.E.A.D & Pets as Therapy, becoming a regional P.A.T dog assessor in 2005. Since 2015, Sarah has been instrumental in developing and co-ordinating the canine assessment and volunteer training for an educational canine assisted therapy scheme in west Wales.

Carol assists Sarah on the training field. She continues her work within the charity sector and for some years experienced first-hand how canine assisted therapy improves the lives and well-being of people of all ages. From 2015 to 2019 Carol managed an educational canine assisted therapy volunteer programme with 80 participating schools, libraries and colleges across Wales.  Carol is developing our sister training business for canine assisted therapy www.therapydogtraining.co.uk

Carol and Sarah were delighted to be part of the coalition of organisations that helped to produce ‘Bark & Read – Standards of Practice for Providers of Animal Assisted Interventions in Schools published by The Kennel Club UK in 2018.
